As part of its continuous effort to ensure workplace safety and security, BRAC Bank conducted a fire safety and emergency evacuation drill at its head office in Dhaka on October 18, in collaboration with the Fire Service and Civil Defence Department. Approximately 1,200 coworkers carried out an orderly evacuation to safety and some stranded employees were rescued, and fire aid applied as part of the drill. The Fire Service officials trained the bank employees about using fire extinguishing systems and first aid and shared knowledge about the best practices in firefighting and safety procedures.
