Brac Bank partners with ProthomAlo Trust for “Aporajeyo TARA”

Brac Bank has partnered with ProthomAlo Trust for its women-only scholarship programme, “Aporajeyo TARA”.

According to the bank, its epoch-making corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, “Aporajeyo TARA”, strives to champion women’s tertiary education and assist them in reaching the pinnacle of their dreams.Brac Bank PLC and ProthomAlo Trust signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on November 28, at the ProthomAlo Office in Dhaka.This scholarship will facilitate education and empower female students, mainly from rural areas.

Sabbir Hossain, deputy managing director, chief operating officer and chairperson of the Sustainable Finance Committee, and EkramKabir, head of communications, signed the agreement on behalf of Brac Bank.On behalf of ProthomAlo Trust, Rupali Chowdhury, president, and Mahbooba Sultana, coordinator, signed the deal.ProthomAlo Editor Matiur Rahman and other officials from both organisations were also present at the ceremony.
