BRAC Bank’s SME business is taking steps towards reducing paper usage and promoting environmental sustainability by adopting various digital processes, a press release said Thursday. Instead of traditional paper-based methods, the bank now digitally conducts Performance Management of 2,800 field-based Business Development Managers (BDMs) and Relationship Officers (ROs). Additionally, the bank has replaced hardcopy letters with digital modes of communication, such as SMS, for deferral, loan call-off reminders, counselling, and Annual Target Communication.
