BRAC Bank Limited has won four exclusive awards from VISA International Limited, a press release said Wednesday.
BRAC Bank Limited won the ‘Excellence in POS Acquiring Business’ for 4th consecutive time, ‘Excellence in Consumer Credit Cards Business’ for 3rd consecutive time, ‘Excellence in E-commerce Issuing Business’ for 2nd consecutive time, and ‘Excellence in Commercial Cards Business’ for 2nd consecutive time.
VISA International Limited awarded its partners and affiliates based on the payment volumes and success in different categories each year. This year, VISA arranged ‘VISA Leadership Conclave 2022’ to recognize partner organizations based on the business performance for July 2020 to March 2022.
BRAC Bank’s Head of Retail Banking Md. Mahiul Islam received the awards on behalf of the bank at the award ceremony held at Sheraton Dhaka on June 23, 2022. Md. Khurshid Alam, Executive Director, Payment Systems Department; and Md. Mezbaul Haque, Director, Payment Systems Department of Bangladesh Bank; Sandeep Ghosh, Group Country Manager, India & South Asia; VISA, were also present.
Joarder Tanvir Faisal, Head of Credit Cards; Khairuddin Ahmed, Head of Merchant Acquiring; Md Rashedul Hasan Stalin, Head of Payments and Partnership Business; Sarah Anam, Head of Retail Deposit and NFB; BRAC Bank, also attended the ceremony. BRAC Bank is the first local bank in the Bangladesh credit card industry to clinch the awards for both the categories of issuing and acquiring for three consecutive fiscal years.
