British MPs visit Beximco industrial park

An UK delegation including Rushanara Ali, MP for Bethnal Green and Bow, and Chair of APPG Bangladesh visited Beximco’s Vertical Leeds Green Certified Industrial Park, a press release said Wednesday.

Other members of the visiting team were Robert Chatterton Dickson, British High Commissioner, Dhaka, Jonny Reynolds, MP for Stalybridge and Hyde, and Shadow Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), Mohammed Yasin, MP for Bedford, and APPG for Bangladesh, Tom Hunt, MP for Ipswich and APPG for Bangladesh, Amy Leeming, Assistant to Rushanara Ali and Secretariat to APPG for Bangladesh and Doyin Adele Shiyanbola, Second Secretary, Political, British High Commission, Dhaka

They were impressed with the State of the Art vertical manufacturing in Textiles, Apparels, PPE & Ceramics and the recruitment, and retention & growth of Best in Class employees. They also visited INTERTEK, an UK company of 130-year-old leader in Testing. Intertek and BEXIMCO have developed a PPE center, the most advanced PPE lab capable of testing all levels to comply with US, EU and UK standards. This lab is the South Asia’s most advanced independent PPE laboratory with both comprehensive testing facilities including microbiological testing
