A meeting was held for the second time on Sunday (November 26) from the education fund for the children of officers and employees in the meeting room of the BRTC head office.
The meeting was presided over by Mr. Md. Tajul Islam, Additional Secretary to the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Chairman, BRTC. BRTC is currently going through a golden era. Working employees are able to enjoy all the benefits they deserve, a shining example of which is the “BRTC Education Scholarship Award”. This year a total of 159 people have been awarded about 15 lakh rupees in various categories from the BRTC Education Assistance Fund.
This financial support will play a positive role in the educational life of the students. Scholarship recipients are very happy to receive the scholarship. Expressing their feelings, they said, “I never imagined that I would get a scholarship from BRTC. This scholarship will inspire us to grow up in our educational life and become true patriotic citizens.
Although BRTC was established in 1961, the officers-employees working before 2021 have been deprived of various benefits (retirement entertainment allowance, educational assistance fund, welfare fund etc.). Earlier, despite the arrival of new vehicles, no due facilities were received and the salaries of the employees working in depots/units were arrears month after month.
Under the able and visionary leadership of the present Chairman, BRTC has transformed into a profitable institution. This institution is being appreciated by various newspapers and high quarters of the government. Officials are getting salary on the first working day of every month and are getting all the perquisites. The number and extent of financial assistance provided by the Education Fund will be increased subsequently. This will continue in the future.
