The export order and volume of sales have increased in the Dhaka International Trade Fair -2024 as the export orders fetched worth Taka 391.82 crore while the volume of cash sales reached around Taka 400 crore.
The Ministry of Commerce and the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) revealed this at the closing ceremony of the 28th DITF 2024 held at the Bangabandhu Bangladesh China Friendship Exhibition Center at Purbachal.
Presided over by Commerce Ministry Senior Secretary Tapan Kanti Ghosh, State Minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam Titu, FBCCI president Mahbubul Alam and EPB vice chairman AHM Ahsan attended the programme.
In the last year, the local enterprises and companies got export order worth Taka $30 million while the volume of cash sales reached Taka 100 crore.
EPB officials said a total of 304 companies took part in this edition of the Fair, where nine enterprises of five countries –India, Hong Kong, Turkey, Indonesia and Singapore –took part in the Fair.
