FBCCI delegation leaves for UK to attend Commonwealth Trade

A delegation from the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) left here for United Kingdom (UK) to attend the Commonwealth Trade and Investment Summit.

FBCCI President MahbubulAlam is leading the 44-member delegation representing various sectors of the country. The visit is expected to play an important role in strengthening trade and investment ties among Commonwealth countries, said a press release.

The delegation’s itinerary includes participation in a series of programs and events during their stay in the UK. The FBCCI delegation will attend a welcome dinner hosted by the Bangladesh High Commission tonight.

The FBCCI President is scheduled to attend the inaugural session of the Commonwealth Trade and Investment Summit tomorrow morning.

On the same day, Mahbubul will also attend a dinner hosted by the chairman of the City of London Chamber. On the second day of the Commonwealth Trade and Investment Summit (November 28, 2023), the FBCCI president will participate as a panelist in a round table session focusing on “Tech and Innovation: Enabling Trade.”

FBCCI will also sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UK Bangladesh Catalysts of Commerce and Industry (UKBCCI).

Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings between Bangladesh-UK businessmen and bilateral meetings with various UK business representatives are scheduled to be held.

The delegation is expected to depart from London for Dhaka on November 29.
