The inaugural meeting of the newly constituted Board of Directors for Union Bank PLC., appointed by Bangladesh Bank, took place on September 2, 2024, at the bank’s head office. The meeting was chaired by the newly appointed Chairman, Mr. Md. Fariduddin Ahmed.
Attendees included the newly appointed board members: Mr. Md. Humayun Kabir, Mr. Mohammed Saiful Alam, Dr. Shahidul Islam Zahid, and Mr. Sheikh Zahidul Islam, FCA. The meeting commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by expressions of gratitude to Almighty Allah. The Board extended its heartfelt thanks to Bangladesh Bank and the relevant authorities of the interim government for their support and guidance.
During this inaugural session, the Board also expressed deep condolences for the martyrs, students, and people of Bangladesh who sacrificed their lives, those who were injured, and the victims of the recent revolutionary movement led by the students.
