Grameenphone CEO Elected as AMTOB President

Yasir Azman, CEO of Grameenphone, has been elected as the President of the Association of Mobile Telecom Operators of Bangladesh (AMTOB). The association took the decision at its Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at their office in Banani on February 12, 2024. said a press release.

Azman will succeed Erik Aas, CEO of Banglalink, and assume the role for a two-year term, effective from April.

In addition to Yasir Azman’s appointment, the board also elected Rajeev Sethi, CEO and Managing Director of Robi Axiata, and Erik Aas, CEO of Banglalink as the Senior Vice President and Vice President respectively. High officials from member companies including Banglalink, Grameenphone, Robi Axiata, Teletalk, as well as associate member companies such as Ericsson and Huawei, actively participated in the AGM.
