Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) organized a webinar on ‘compliance of Shari‘ah in banking operations’ on Saturday, a press release said. Professor Md. Nazmul Hassan, chairman of the bank addressed the webinar as chief guest. Presided over by Mohammed Monirul Moula, MD and CEO of the bank, the webinar was also addressed by professor Dr. Mohammad Gias Uddin Talukder, chairman, Shari‘ah supervisory committee as chief discussant. Muhammad Qaisar Ali, AMD and professor Dr. Mohammad Abdus Samad, member secretary of Shari`ah supervisory committee was present as special guest. Md. Mostafizur Rahman Siddiquee, DMD, and Md. Shamsuddoha, executive vice president, were also present.
