International Voluntary Foundation-IVF organized a reception program in honor of its Australian Director Hafiz Monsur Rahman on the occasion of his arrival of in Bangladesh, in Dhanmondi on November 30, a press release said Friday.
A discussion meeting and reception dinner was organized and a crest was also presented to him on the occasion. Monsur Rahman was given this award for his contribution to the community in poverty alleviation, improving the quality of life of poor people and his long association with IVF’s development activities.
Presided over by Mujibur Rahman, senior lawyer of Bangladesh Supreme Court & IVF Director, SM Rasheduzzaman, chairman of SAWAB, Dr. Abu Yusuf, chairman of AMAN, Md. Rajibul Islam, vice president of Al Arafa Islami Bank were also present as special guests at the event.
IVF director and prominent businessman Md. Nazrul Islam Shawon moderated the program, while IVF director Mohammad Ali Sohail presented the welcome speech. President of IVF Rajbari district committee Md. Salam Sheikh spoke on IVF’s local activities. IVF chairman Akhter Hossain and vice chairman Anwar M Mian participated in the event through virtual platform.
