Janata Bank stands by poor in month of mourning

State-run Janata Bank has stood by poor marking the month of mourning especially who becomes income less amid corona virus pandemic.

Janata Bank Managing Director Abdus Salam Azad was present as the chief guest at the function organized by Janata Bank Democratic Employees Union in front of its head office in Motijheel in the capital on Tuesday.

Some 500 families were given daily necessities including rice, oil, onion and salt, said a news release.

Abdus Salam Azad said Janata Bank is committed to stand by the side of the miserable and helpless people and implement the ideals of Bangabandhu and Prime Minister.

He said, under the dynamic leadership of the Prime Minister in the ideology of Bangabandhu, the country is appreciated in the world economy today.

“During the coronation period under the strong leadership of the government, not a single person of the country went without food. Janata Bank has always been playing the historic role to stand by people,” he said.

Employee’s Union advisor Sirajul Islam was present as the special guest at the function presided over by Rafiqul Islam, president of the Union.

General Secretary Anisur Rahman and General Manager Mahfuzur Rahman were also present on the occasion.
