Japan envoy inaugurates upgraded NICU at DCH

Ambassador of Japan to Bangladesh Ito Naoki inaugurated the upgraded Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of Dhaka Community Hospital in the capital on Thursday.

During the inauguration, the embassy’s second secretary Ebihara Kenji, GGHSP consultant of the embassy Emika Prodhan, DCH Trust chairman Professor Quazi Quamruzzaman, executive director of Community Initiative Society Md Golam Mostofa and DCH Trust coordinator Mahmuder Rahman, among others, were present, said a press release.

The Japanese ambassador praised the upgraded NICU, over all activities of DCH Trust and Community Initiative Society.

He mentioned the development of Bangladesh and also admired the humanitarian initiation taken by DCH Trust and Peace Winds Japan at Rohingya refugee camps, according to the release.

He assured about the continuation of support to DCH Trust, CIS as well as Bangladesh.

Dhaka Community Hospital Trust is a trust-owned private, non-profit making and self-financed organisation providing health care for low-income underprivileged people, the release added.
