Midland Bank Limited to get government fees like e-passport (new), income tax, vat, duty, surcharge without visiting a branch, accessing the automated challan system through online.
This service being officially launched on September 15, 2021 at bank’s head office in Gulshan, a press release said.
Md. Ahsan-uzZaman, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer said, ‘Midland Bank has always been at the forefront of offering digital banking services and the feature of being able to pay e-passport fee and government tax and vat through online from anywhere. I thank the government to allow Midland Bank to collect such fees on behalf of the passport authority and the national board of revenue’.
Md. ZahidHossain, Deputy Managing Director, Md. RidwanulHaque, Head of Retail Distribution, Md. Nazmul Huda Sarkar, CTO and Head of Information Technology and senior officials of the bank were present at the inaugural function.
