‘Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF)-2024’ will begin from 3rd week of January, 2024 at ‘Bangabandhu Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Centre’ in the capital’s Purbachal area.
Talking to BSS, a senior official of the Commerce Ministry informed that the trade fair will begin within January 15 to 20 instead of January 1 due to the national election to be held on January 7.
The government is taking all sorts of preparation to hold the fair in a peaceful atmosphere, he added.
There will be premium pavilions, premium mini pavilions, reserved pavilions for women, foreign pavilions, general pavilions and food stalls at the fair venue.
The senior official mentioned that the range of this fair has been increased compared to other years.
In the last fair, the minimum rent for the Premier Pavilion floor was Tk 20 lakh, but the rent for the next fair has been fixed at Tk 22 lakh. Similarly, the stall rent has been increased from a minimum of Tk 3.50 lakh to Tk4 lakh for general stalls and Tk4.50 lakh for reserved stalls.
And the minimum rent of reserved mini pavilion has been increased by 47 percent to Tk 11 lakh.
The entry fee for visitors has been remaining unchanged. The ticket price of entry to the fair for adults has been increased to Tk 50 and minors Tk 25.
