North South University and Bangladesh National Cadet Corps (BNCC) jointly opened the BNCC-Army Wing Platoon at North South University campus, said a press release.
Mr. Md. Mehedi Hasan, Senior Lecturer, Department of English & Modern Languages, NSU, has been appointed as the Platoon Commander and Mr. Maxim Gorky Samya has been appointed as the Platoon Adjutant and Cadet In-Charge of North South University BNCC Platoon.
NSU BNCC Platoon will take command from the Vice-Chancellor of North South University. Ambassador Major General Azmal Kabir (Retd.), Director, Administration, NSU,will supervise the NSU BNCC Platoon.
This is a proud moment for the NSU community. Bangladesh National Cadet Corps is a Tri-Military and Para-Military force of Bangladesh that is always prepared to be deployed during peace and war. The military staff and personnel train students throughout their cadetship. BNCC cadets work together with Army, Navy, Air Force, and Civil Defense authorities in situations of national integrity and emergencies.
NSU team worked tirelessly to establish a BNCC Platoon on the NSU campus especially theDirector of Career & Placement Center (CPC), NSU, Professor Dr. Mohammad Khasro Miahcoordinating this whole initiative. Mr. Maxim Gorky Samya, a student of Economics at NSU, cordially helped to take permission from the Ministry of Defence and Bangladesh National Cadet Corps Headquarters. North South University and Bangladesh National Cadet Corps jointly opened this platoon for the benefit of the NSU students.
