Paperfly, country’s largest e-Commerce focused logistic service provider, is preparing to sue few of the controversial ecommerce companies, including eOrange and Dhamaka Shopping, on account of due payments, a release said Thursday.
Paperfly owes these companies tens of millions of takas for the nationwide delivery services that they have provided in recent past months.
The ecommerce companies didn’t respond to any query despite multiple attempts and Paperfly will take legal action against these platforms, said Fareen Mansur, Revenue Assurance Manager at Paperfly. ‘‘We have already sent legal notices to eOrange and Dhamaka Shopping on Wednesday, now we are preparing for further steps,’’ she added.
Customers claim that eOrange was not delivering products with orders worth around Tk 2 billion. The company has changed its ownership in the excuse of not giving the product with the order.
Earlier in July, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the police came to know that the e-commerce company had smuggled advance money from Dhamaka Shopping.com customers to other bank accounts abroad.
Subsequently, several banks and mobile banking companies stopped transactions with several ecommerce platforms, including Dhamaka Shopping.
