Premier Bank observes National Mourning Day-2021

The Premier Bank Limited observed the National Mourning Day-2021 and 46th anniversary of the martyrdom of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family members on Sunday, said a press release.

Muhammed Ali, Advisor of the Bank inaugurated the program and M. Reazul Karim, FCMA, Managing Director & CEO of the Bank presided over the Milad Mahfil, special prayers for salvation and eternal peace of the departed martyrs of souls of 15 August, 1975 including the Father of the Nation and a panel discussion was dedicated to mark the Day at the Head Office of The Premier Bank Limited followed by Blood Donation Program and Tree Plantation.

Mr. Syed Nowsher Ali, Deputy Managing Director; Mr. Shamsuddin Chowdhury, Deputy Managing Director; Mr. Shahed Sikandar, Deputy Managing Director; Mr. Syed Abul Hashem FCA, FCMA Deputy Managing Director; Mr. Kazi Ahsan Khalil, Deputy Managing Director; Mr. Sami Karim, Deputy Managing Director were present on the occassion along with other senior officials.

Mr. Muhammed Ali, Advisor of the Bank and Mr. M. Reazul Karim, FCMA, Managing Director & CEO of the Bank in their statement condemned the heinous killing of the Father of the Nation on 15 August and termed it as one of the most shameful and inhumane assassination in world history. He paid a tribute to Bangabandhu for his fearless leadership of the Bengali nation’s emancipation towards its independence and sovereignty in 1971 and thanked all participants for their presence on the occasion. He also thanked Aparajito Enabler Limited & Bangladesh Thalassemia Samity for cooperating in arranging the blood donation program.
