Standard Chartered Bangladesh (SCB) and Channel i have recently celebrated the achievements of 12 individuals and organisations at the 8th Agrow Award finale, a press release said Monday.
The prize giving ceremony for the eighth iteration of the Standard Chartered – Channel i Agrow Award was held in city on March 5, 2023.
Dr. Muhammad Abdur Razzaque, minister, Ministry of Agriculture, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, attended the event chief guest.
The 8th Agrow Award event expanded the roster of awardees via the introduction of two new categories: Best Small-Scale Farmer, Male and Best Small-Scale Farmer, Female. These categories shine a bright light on farmers who – despite the smaller size of their operations – have had a significant impact on the nation’s agricultural landscape and communities. The most recent batch of honourees brings the total number of Agrow Award recipients to 66 awardees.
The winners include: 1) Farmer of the Year, Male: Md. Rakibul Islam Tutul, 2) Farmer of the Year, Female: Hosne Ara Rahman, 3) Best Small-Scale Farmer, Male: Md. Abdul Baser Bodu, 4) Best Small-Scale Farmer, Male: Kallol Roy, 5) Best Small-Scale Farmer, Female: Suraiya Farhana Reshma, 6) Best Small-Scale Farmer, Female: Shapla Yeasmin, 7) Heroes for Change: Hazrat Ali, 8) Best Agricultural Organisation in Research, Innovation and Technology:A R Malik Seeds Pvt. Ltd., 9) Best Agricultural Organisation in Support and Execution: DAE Nutrition Development Project, 10) Best Disaster Fighting Community of the Year: Kazipur Dear, 11) Jury Special: Dr. Chashi Incorporation, 12) Lifetime Achievement: Dr. Muhammad Abdul Hamid Miah.
