Shamim Ahmed has been re-elected as the president of Bangladesh Plastic Goods Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BPGMEA) for the year 2022-2023, a press release said Saturday.
Giasuddin Ahmed had also been re-elected as the senior vice president. K. M. Iqbal Hossain & Quazi Anwarul Haque had been reelected as vice presidents respectively.
As per the order of the Ministry of Commerce, on September 1, 2022, seven new members were elected to the seven vacant positions of the Board of Directors of BPGMEA at the head office of the association in Paltan.
Among the seven new members, Md. Yusuf Ashraf, Humayun Kabir Bablu, Md. Enamul Haque, Md. Abdul Mannan and Abdul Kader Jilani were elected under the General Group, while K M Iqbal Hossain and Md. Khorshed Alam were elected under the Associate Group.
Under the directives of Commerce Ministry, BPGMEA Election Board Chairman Abdur Razzak declared the final election results at the BPGMEA head office.
