The National Board of Revenue (NBR)’s Large Taxpayer Unit (LTU) organized the “Best Taxpayer and Special Recognition” ceremony on 24 January at the office of the NBR at Segunbagicha in the capital. Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC (SJIB) won special recognition and certificate in banking category as one of the highest taxpayer in the financial year 2022-2023. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of SJIB Mr. Mohammed Younus received the special recognition and certificate from Mr. Syed Mohammad Abu Daud, Member of Tax Administration and Human Resource Management Department of the NBR. Among others, the Tax Commissioner of LTU of NBR Mr. Md. Iqbal Bahar, the Managing Director (CC) of SJIB Mr. Abdul Aziz, and the CFO of the bank, Mr. Md. Jafar Sadeq, FCA were present on the occasion.
