SJIBL provides agri investment facilities in Tangail

Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) has provided agricultural investment facilities of Tk 350 lakh (35 million) at 4 percent subsidized profit rate among small ethnic groups in Tangail district for cultivation for the financial year of 2022-2023, a press release said Tuesday. SJIBL is providing it as per the agricultural and rural credit policy of BB. The bank provided agricultural investment facility of Tk.71.00 lakh that were distributed to 16 ethnic farmers through a program organized in Tangail district on 4 February 2023. MD and CEO of the bank, Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, attended as chief guest and handed over the cheques among the tribal farmers. DMD of the bank, Md. Shahjahan Shiraj, presided over in the ceremony and head of SME and agricultural investment department of the bank, Md. Abdur Rahim, delivered the welcome speech. Zonal head of Tangail region of the bank, Abdul Khalek, chief regional manager of Bangladesh Krishi Bank Tangail region, Khalekuzzaman Yamin, and additional deputy director of Tangail agricultural extension directorate, Md. Nurul Islam delivered speech as special guests. Unit head of SME and agri investment department of the bank, Md. Rafiqul Islam, was also present.
