Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) has won the Gold Award (1st position) in the 9th ICSB National Award for Corporate Governance Excellence-2021 for the best presented annual report 2021, a press release said Monday. The award was given to SJIBL for ensuring sound corporate governance, discipline & transparency and accountability in the overall management of the bank. The Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) awarded Gold award to SJIBL in Private Commercial Bank (Islamic Operation) category on 17th December 2022 at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the city. Director of SJIBL & chairman of executive committee Akkas Uddin Mollah and MD & CEO of the bank Mosleh Uddin Ahmed received the award from Salman F. Rahman, MP, (chief guest of the event) private industry & investment adviser to Prime Minister. Planning Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh M.A.Mannan MP, president of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Nazmul Hasan, MP and the company secretary of SJIBL Md. Abul Bashar were also present.
