‘Syndication Project Loan Facility Program’ of Unique Meghnaghat Power Limited (UMPL) with four state-owned commercial banks has been held on Tuesday at the The Sheraton Banani of Dhaka maintaining proper healthcare guidelines, a press release said.
Under the syndication bank facility 3055.38 Crore Taka fund has been raised against the project cost of 4073.84 Crore Taka of which Agrani Bank Limited is the lead arranger and the agent bank. Other syndication bank members participating there are Sonali Bank Limited, Rupali Bank Limited and Janata Bank Limited.
Eminent economist and researcher, Chairman of Agrani Bank Ltd. DR Zaid Bakht was present there as chief guest. The contact was signed by General Manager of the four banks and Managing Director OF Meghna Ghat Power ltd.
UMPL’s 584 MW(net) Gas Fired Single Unit Combined Cycle Power Plant is first gas based single unit power plant in BD which is situated in Meghnaghat of Sonargaon in the Narayanganj district. The plant is expected be integrated into the national grid in June 2022.
