More than 100 MoUs were signed among about 30 universities on the last day of the three-day conference of the Association of the Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP) held at the Daffodil Smart City in Ashulia, Dhaka, a press release said Wednesday.
The MOUs focused on students and faculty exchange, development of academic and research programs together, sharing and twinning of courses. The MOUs will now lead to a plethora of activities ahead among the universities of 10 nations. The 15th General is being held in Dhaka.
During the three-day event, the leaders of more than 30 higher education institutions of AUAP from different corners of the world interacted on three topics that together tried to find answers to some of the issues. They are – online to blended learning using technology for higher education, experimental and practical elements in education system, project-based teaching.
Dr. Md. Sabur Khan took oath as the new president of AUAP. Dr. Biswajit Chanda, Member of Bangladesh University Grant Commision, was present as the chief guest.
The conference attended by academic leaders from several universities coming from Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Romania, USA, Brunei and Bangladesh, etc.
