4 students of DIU crossing 150 km on foot

A team of 4 Rovers named KawsarJahan Ridoy, Ragib Anjum, Fahim Ahmed Niloy and Fahim Morshed from Daffodil International University Air Rover Scout Group has started journey on foot from Daffodil International University (DIU) Campus at Daffodil Smart City, Ashulia to Regional Scout Office, Muktagasa, Mymensingh on October 26, 2021, aiming to win the President’s Rover Scout Award.

Before the official departure, Shah-Alam, Regional Secretary for Air Region of Bangladesh Scouts, Professor Dr. S M Mahbub Ul Haque Majumder, Pro-Vice Chancellor of DIU and Dr. Mohammad Emran Hossain, Secretary, Daffodil International University Air Rover Scout Group greeted the team. In the meantime Air Zone Regional Deputy Commissioner and Rover Scout Leader FarhanaRahman (ALT, PRS), Rover Scout Leader Md. Saiful Islam Khan and Md. NazmulHasan (PRS) were also present, a press release said.

President’s Rover Scout Award is the highest award for Rover Scout’s requires six badges. One of them is the navigation badge, which is earned by walking 150 km in 5 days. To achieve this badge, a rover scout has to travel from one place to another on foot, with a distance of 150 kilometers, which is to be covered in 5 days.
