4th National Conference of Erasmus+ CBHE Harmony Project begins at DIU

3 day long 4th National Conference of the Erasmus+ CBHE Harmony Project of the European Union (EU) based on the theme of “Internationalization and virtual Exchange: Borderless between European Union and Asian Countries” began today on November 01, 2023 at International Conference Room of Knowledge Tower of Daffodil International University. As a member of this consortium, Daffodil International University (DIU) is hosting this conference from November 1 to 3, 2023, at Daffodil Smart City in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The primary objective of this in-person conference of the HARMONY Consortium is to promote collaboration, share knowledge, and showcase research findings among project participants. It will also serve as a platform for enhancing cooperation and quality in higher education across different countries within the Erasmus+ program.  A total of 50 Delegates from Bangladesh, India, Vietnam, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Spain, and Slovenia have joined this conference.

Prof. Rafael Pablo Miguel Gonzalez, Coordinator of Erasmas CBHE Harmony Project and Associate Dean for International Relations of University of Zaragoza, Spain was present at opening ceremony to inaugurate the 4th National Conference of the Erasmus+ CBHE Harmony Project. Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Professor Dr. S M Mahabub Ul Haque Mazumder, Pro Vice Chancellor of Daffodil International University, Professor Imran Rahman, Vice Chancellor, University OF Liberal Arts (ULAB), Professor Todour Kolev Radev, President of Varna University of Management, Bulgaria. Dr. Md. Ashiqur Rahman, Regional Project Manager (Asia), Dr. Md. Fokhray Hossain, Director and Mr. Syed Raihan Ul Islam, Deputy Director of International Affairs of Daffodil International University addressed the opening ceremony of the conference.

The HARMONY project aims to support the modernization, accessibility, and internationalization of the higher education institutions in India, Bangladesh and Vietnam and to contribute to the cooperation between the European universities and Asian universities. The HARMONY project’s overall objective and the main underpinning of Partner countries’ is to have an impact and trigger reform processes at Higher Education Institutions, enabling them to strategically manage internationalization in the provision of education, research, mobility, and services
