Ambassador of Bangladesh to Uzbekistan with concurrent accreditation to Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan and Afghanistan Md Zahangir Alam has been awarded PhD degree as external researcher from University of World Economy and Diplomacy in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
The topic of his thesis is “Factors Affecting the Adoption of Technology-Driven International Trade: Asian Context”.
All 10 members of Scientific Council unanimously in a secret ballot voted “pro” in favour of awarding him the degree of PhD, said a media release on Saturday.
The Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy and Deputy Speaker of Oliy Majlis (Parliament) of Uzbekistan Sodiq Safoyev, Vice-Rectors, Professors from UWED and Professors of other prominent universities in Central Asian Region were present during the defense stage as Scientific Council’s members.
Md Zahangir Alam published six articles and two conference papers in the Universities of United States of America, Australia, Austria, India, Malaysia and Uzbekistan.
He received a big number of reviews from different eminent universities of Bangladesh, Uzbekistan, Canada, China, Malaysia etc.
Ambassador Zahangir Alam is a member of BCS Administration Cadre-8th batch.
