The British Council in partnership with North South University (NSU) organises the IELTS Scholarship Winner Announcement Ceremony at North South University premises on 09 October 2023, a press releas said on Tuesday. The event aimed at celebrating the success of the IELTS scholarship winner of North South University and acknowledging the campus ambassadors for successfully completing their one-year tenure.
Tom Miscioscia, Director Bangladesh, British Council handed over the certificates, 50,000 BDT cheque and crest to the scholarship champion Mursalin Hasan Chowdhury Alfi. IELTS Campus Ambassador Khandkar Yaaseen Qader and Sadia Jeesan Ayesha also received certificates for their year-long contribution during the event. The scholarship money has been provided to the award winner to cover the tuition fee for the next semester.

IELTS Scholarship Winner Mursalin Hassan Chowdhury Alfi Said, “The British Council has been the wind beneath my wings in my flight to conquering newer heights. I’m eternally grateful to the British Council for their immense support throughout the process.”
The IELTS Scholarship scheme was open for all students of North South University who completed the IELTS test with a minimum score of 6.0 from the British Council. The scholarship was awarded to the student after a competitive selection process by the British Council and the university.
Students of the North South University attended the event, The event was led by North South University, Professor Atiqul Islam. Also Deans and administrative members from External Affairs were present at the event. Among others Sarwat Masuda Reza, Director Business Development, British Council, Zunayed Ahmed, Director Operations Examinations, British Council, and Dr Katherine Li and Tasnia Azmeri from the NSU Office of External Affairs were present in the event.
