Wing Commander Mamunur Rashid (Rtd.), Chief of Security, North South University breathed his last breath on Wednesday at Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Dhaka(Inna Lillahiwainnailayhiraji’un), said a press release.
He had a very distinguished career in the Bangladesh Air Force. Commissioned in 1991, he rose to the rank of Wing Commander and retired from BAF in 2018. Throughout his career, he was involved in security-related jobs. He patriotically served our nation and was an exemplary officer at NSU. He was efficient, loyal, and a dependable colleague. NSU authority expresses deep shock at his death and prays for the salvation of the departed souls.
The first namaz-e-janaza of Wing Commander Mamunur Rashid will be held at the Central Jame Mosque of 10 sector, Uttara after Fajar prayers today and the 2nd namaz-e-janaza held on 10:00 am at the Graveyard of Sector 12, Uttara. Later, he was buried there.
He is survived by his elderly mother, his wife, two sons, and a daughter.
