Bangladeshi computer engineer and alumni of Daffodil International University (DIU)Engr. ShanewazAhmed had the opportunity to serve Google Cloud Platform (GCP) team as Technical Solutions Engineer (TSE).
In an exclusive interview with the Office of the DIU Alumni Cell, Bangladeshi computer engineer and alumni of DIU Engr. ShanewazAhmed, lauded the role of Google as Technical Solutions Engineers (TSE) saying, “we can attain our goals by specializing our skill and working hard if are eager to realize the dream of our goal”.
From the beginning of his career, he grew a particular interest in computer infrastructure and networking domains He worked for about ten years in these areas in Bangladesh. Afterwards, he decided to move to North America either for education or as a permanent resident. Canada was his first choice because of the quality of life and opportunities in his field there.
He finally moved to Canadain the year 2017.In Canada, he worked in various technology role in different companies, and his primary focus was infrastructure/networking. He applied to Google for this TSE position, received interview call, went through Google’s arduous screening and recruitment process, and finally succeeded to join the companyin November 2021
After joining Google as aTSE with the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) team, he is was very excited for getting the opportunity to work, learn and grow with the top-tier technology company. He found very innovative working environment there.
“There are various specialization areas in the Information Technology field today, and Tech Giant companies are constantly looking for specialists in Software development, Networking, Infrastructure, Big Data, Data Analytics, Security and Business Analysis as well,” he said believing that Cloud Computing is a popular and demanding field, giventhe current opportunities in the market.”
After returning home, he attained valuable experience in on-premises networks. Later, he worked with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)for over two years and built specialization in that areabefore landing in Google.
Engr. ShanewazAhmedhas suggested his juniorsto find their area of interestfor example coding, networking, and database administration during the early years of their university life and give extra time and effort, apart from studies, to develop skills in that area.
