English Literary Club (ELC) of Daffodil InternationalUniversity (DIU) has organized anenthralling program on WomenEmpowerment and celebrated thebirth anniversary of Emily Dickinson, a renowned American poeton Wednesday (December 22, 2021).
Prof Hamidur Rahman, Dean,Faculty of Humanities and Social Science of DIU,attended the programme as chief guest while Dr. Liza Sharmin, Head,Department of English, was present as special guest. The speakers delivered their speeches on women empowerment.
Dr. EhatashamUl Hoque Eiten, Assistant Professor of English, Daffodil International University, was also present.
The faculty members launched ‘La Revolucion’, a collection of poemsbased on the theme ‘Women’ andrecited poems from the publication.
There werepoem recitation, songs and dancesthat portrayed empowered womenleaders in various fields (SheikhHasina, Kamala Harris, AngelaMerkel, and Malala Yousafzai).
