the International Affairs of Daffodil International University (DIU) and the Erasmus Mundus Association (EMA) jointly organized International Seminar “One Scholarship Preparation: Thousands of Worldwide Opportunities”, provided a platform to explore various pathways to higher education through prestigious scholarships such as Erasmus+, Marie Curie, DAAD, and others available across Europe. It’ the first initiative between DIU and EMA after the recent signing of a partnership agreement.
The Keynote Session was presented by Dr. Md Ashiqur Rahman, President of the Erasmus Mundus Association (EMA) and Regional Manager for Asia at the Centralised Support to the Network of Erasmus+ National Focal Points (ENFP), European Commission, where he shared invaluable insights into the array of opportunities available to Bangladeshi students globally and offered guidance on how to seize them.
Among other speakers, Prof. Dr. Nasar U Ahmed, Founding Chairman of the Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics at Florida International University, USA, Md. Mamun, Senior Assistant Secretary at the University Grants Commission (UGC) and ENFP, Erasmus+, Bangladesh, and Mahmudul Hasan Suman, Regional Officer (Bangladesh) at DAAD-German Academic Exchange Service shared their experience and expertise to explore international scholarships.
Over 400 students from around 22 higher education institutions actively joined this informative seminar and gained valuable insights on above areas including writing effective CVs, SOPs, and reference letters, along with practical guidance on document preparation and scholarship timelines, facilitating their pursuit of global educational opportunities.
