DIU holds academic council meeting

34th Academic Council Meeting of Daffodil International University (DIU) was held on January 27 at the International Conference Hall of the university, a press release said Monday.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, DIU presided over the meeting and upheld the overall academic activities of the university. Deans of respective faculties upheld the updated syllabus and proposed to include different topics to modernize the course curriculum on behalf of their respective faculties. Academic Council discussed elaborately and approved those proposals. The controller of Examination proposed approving degrees of different programs for the year 2023 and the academic Council approved those proposals unanimously.

Dr. Md. Nadir Bin Ali, Registrar submitted relevant documents in the meeting. Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Md. Shamsul Arefin, Secretary ICT Division, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. S M Mahbub Ul Haque Majumdar, Mr. Hamidul Haque Khan, Treasurer, Prof. Dr. Md. Ismail Jabiullah, Controller of Examination attended the meeting on the special invitation of the Vice-Chancellor.

Prof. Dr. Mostafa Kamal, Dean of Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. M Shamsul Alam, Professor Dr. Syed Akter Hossain, , Dean, Faculty of Science and Information Technology, Professor Dr. Bellal Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Allied Health Scidnces, Prof. Dr. Liza Sharmin, Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Md. Masum Iqbal, Dean, Faculty of Business and Entrepreneurship, Prof. Dr. Md. Kabirul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Graduate Studies, all institute chiefs, senior Professors and all Head of the Departments were present in the Academic Council Meeting.

In addition to other discussions at the meeting, the chairman of the Board of Trustees of DIU, Dr. Md. Sabur Khan said, “The present success of our university has been achieved through the joint efforts of all of us. Today this university has now reached the enviable level of many other institutions. We need to work harder to keep this trend going.”

The members of Academic Council praised the continuous development and success of DIU and expressed to extend their cooperation to uphold this progress in coming days.
