The Data Science Lab of the Department of Software Engineering of Daffodil International University (DIU) observed the ‘3rd Data Science Summit-2022’ on Tuesday, a press release said.
Bikarna Kumar Ghosh, MD, Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority (BHTPA) was present as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the daylong event at Daffodil Smart City, Ashulia, Dhaka.
The ceremony was addressed by Prof. Dr. Md. Fokhray Hossain, dean of FSIT. Dr. Imran Mahmud, Head, Department of Software Engineering, Md. Shohel Arman, Assistant Professor & Lab in-change, DIU Data Science Lab, and other faculty members, and students Data Science Club were present at the event.
Later on Bikarna Kumar Ghosh, Managing Director, Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority (BHTPA) officially inaugurated the Data Science Lab of Daffodil International University which is first Data Science Lab in Bangladesh.
A ‘Panel Discussion with Industry-Academia field of Data Science was held in the summit where A Y M Mostafa, EVP and CTO, Prime Bank, Mohammad Fayadan Hossain, co-founder and MD, Hishab technologies limited, Mohammad OliAhad, founder, Intelligence Machines Limited, Dr. Mohammad Shamsul Arefin, Professor, Department of Computer Science, DIU, Dr. Nabeel Mohammed, Associate Professor, North South University were the speakers of the event.
Two technical sessions were held in the summit. The first one ‘From Model to Learn Machine Learning: Artificial Neural Network in Business and Management Research’ was conducted by Dr. Imran Mahmud, Head, Department of SWE MusabbirHasanSammak, Lecturer, Department of SWEof Daffodil IntrnationalUniversity,.
And the 2nd one was ‘Industry Insights, CV Writing, Interview Preparation and Future of Data Science in Bangladesh and Abroad’ facilitated by Mohammad Fayadam Hossain, Co-Founder, and Managing Director, Hishab Technologies Limited.
