Daffodil International University (DIU) has organized ‘JMC Mediabuzz – Fall 2022’ in the ‘Fall 2022’ semester, a press releasesaid Thursday.
The programme was to acquaint and inspire students with practical and outcome based learning methods, the Department of Journalism, Media and Communication. The day-long event was held at Daffodil Smart City in Ashulia, on September 7.
Students celebrated the event through various activities including national level mobile photography competition, mobile journalism competition, workshops, discussion panel, cultural events in this event, JMC Mediabuzz with the theme of ‘Mobile Communications’.
Daffodil International University VC professor Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman was the chief guest of this program. DIU advisor Professor Ujjal Kumar Chowdhury, dean of Humanities and Social Sciences Faculy Professor A.M.M. Hamidur Rahman and head of the department of Journalism, Media & Communication (JMC) Mr. Aftab Hossain was present on the occasion.
Mustafiz Mamun, head of news photography, BD News 24.com and Sabina Yasmin, staff photojournalist of The Daily Prothom Alo participated as judges of the National Mobile Photography Competition.
Chaudhuri Rahul Ibn Azad, Md. Salim Hossain and Iftekhar Islam Munna received the award from the guests as the best mobile photographer. Bangladesh Times team leader Sabbir Ahmed and senior media journalist of Dainik Bangla Sudipta Salam were present as discussants in the day-long programme.
