Department of Pharmacy of Daffodil International University (DIU) organized ‘DIU Pharma Career Expo-2023 & World Pharmacists Day (WPD)Celebration’ at Daffodil Smart City, Birulia , Savar on Monday, a press release said.
More than 1000 participants attended the event, including students, alumni, faculty members, and industry professionals to share their knowledge, expertise, and research.
The festival aimed to provide a platform for students and professionals to exchange ideas and insights about the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry.
During the opening ceremony, the acting VC of DIU, professor Dr. S M. Mahabub Ul Haque Majumder, highlighted the importance of the pharmaceutical industry and the role of DIU in preparing students to meet the demands of the industry.
Major General Mustafizur Rahman, CEO of Bangladesh Association of Pharmaceutical Industry (BAPI) was present as the chief guest at the programme.
Shamim Alam Khan, director (marketing), UniMed UniHealth Pharmaceuticals Ltd.was present as the special guest.
Professor Dr. Mostafa Kamal, dean, academic affairs, Professor Dr. Md. Bellal Hossain, dean, faculty of Allied Health Science, Professor Dr. Muniruddin Ahmed, head, department of Pharmacy and Dr. Sharifa Sultana, associate head of the department of Pharmacy of the university were also present.
