Daffodil International University (DIU) has organized a seminar on the, titled ‘Say No to Sexual Harassment: Don’t Be Silent, Be Strong,’ a press release said Sunday.
The event was organized by the University’s Complaint Committee to Prevent Sexual Harassment on April 08, 2023 at International Conference Hall of the university at Daffodil Smart City, Birulia, Savar.
Dr. Fauzia Moslem, president of Bangladesh Mahila Parishad, Ms. Mahfuza Liza, BPM, Superintendent of Police (international affairs), special branch of Bangladesh Police, and Professor Dr. Sunjida Shahriah, physician, counselor, psychotherapy practitioner Phoenix Wellness Center Bangladesh, and member secretary of Palliative Care Society of Bangladesh, were present as the special guests.
Dr. Sharifa Sultana, chairperson of DIU complaint committee to prevent sexual harassment, and deputy proctor, presided over the program.
Professor A M MHamidur Rahman, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Professor Dr. Shaikh Md. Allayear, Proctor, Professor Dr. Syed Mizanur Rahman, Director of Student Affairs, Dr. Liza Sharmin, Head of Department of English, also spoke at the event.
