DIU hosts national conference

A National Virtual Conference titled ‘Industrial Technology Innovation Management for Sustainable Economic Development of Bangladesh’ was held on Saturday, jointly organized by Daffodil International University and Skill Jobs, a press release said.

The conference was supported by the American Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh (AMCHAM) and the Bangladesh Association of Call Centers and Outsourcing (BACCO). The conference was featured a presentation on the Baseline Information Document by Prof. Dr. M Nawaz Sharif. The conference was broadcast live through Daffodil International University’s Facebook page and Campus TV, said a press release.

Planning Minister Mr. MA Mannan, MP was present as the chief guest at the inaugural session of the conference. Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University, Professor Md. Sazzad Hossain, member of the University Grants Commission, Syed Ershad Ahmed, president of AMCHAM and Mr. Wahid Sharif, President of BACCO were present as the special guest.

Daffodil International University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. M Lutfar Rahmanwas present as the session chair whileMr. Mohammad Nuruzzaman, CEO of the Daffodil family was present as advisors and convener of the plenary session. The program was conducted by Ejaz-ur-Rahman, Deputy Director, Human Resource Development Institute (HRDI).

Keynote speaker of the conference, Professor Dr. M Nawaz Sharif said that the economy of Bangladesh is developing very fast. In order to sustain this development, it is necessary to apply innovative technology in the industry sector of Bangladesh. New investments are being made in the industrial sector of Bangladesh. In order to make the industry sustainable, there is no alternative to create technology based industry sector. Because the industrial sector of the developed world has entered into technology long ago. Our economic development will not be sustainable if we do not start using technology in the industry yet.
