3rd Social Business Creation Competition (SBC) of Canada was held on (Monday) September 6, on a virtual platform at Daffodil International University in Bangladesh, a press release said.
Canadian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Benoit Prefontaine as the Chief Guest while the Vice Chancellor of Daffodil International University Prof. Dr. M Lutfar Rahman, Lamia Morshed, Executive Director of Yunus Center and My ThiTanh Thai, Director of Social Business Creation HEC Montreal were present as the special guests.
Prof. Dr. Mohammad Masum Iqbal, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Entrepreneurship and Professor Dr. Md. Fakhray Hossain, Director of International Affairs of Daffodil International Universityalso spoke on the occasion.
YoUnity team has become the champion in this regional competition. The members of the team were Sajib Sheikh, Nahid Arman, SohagLatif, NoboratriTadmiran, TasniyaAkter and Regan Ahmed. They won the champion by presenting the business idea of creating employment for people of the transgender.
The first runner-up in the competition was Obisesh. The members of this group were Halima bintZahid and Lamim Ahmed. They presented the idea of inventing eco-friendly toilets. Besides, the second runner-up has been the Prottoy team and the members of the team were KamrulHasan, Mohammad Asaduzzaman, Abid Md. AlbabHaque and NaishaTazreen. They presented the idea of delivering healthcare through online to marginalized areas.
Daffodil International University successfully completed this prestigious competition for the third time supported by the Social Business Students Forum (SBSF).
