Renewable Energy Research Laboratory (RERL) and Training Center launched on June 3, 2023 at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) of Daffodil International University, a press release said on Saturday. Minister of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources (MoPEM), Nasrul Hamid, MP inaugurated the Renewable Energy Research Laboratory and Training Center as the chief guest while Nahim Razzaq, MP Convenor of Climate Parliament Bangladesh and Member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Foreign Affairs, joined the program as the special guest. Presided over by Professor Dr. M Lutfar Rahan,, Vice Chancellor Daffodil International University the program was also addressed by Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, and Prof. Dr. M Shamsul Alam, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Md. Shahid Ullah, Head of the Department of EEE and Dara Abdus Sattar, Associate Head of EEE Department of Daffodil International University.
