Daffodil International University arranged a Rally and discussion session on Saturday with the theme digital library is the pledge of the country’s golden jubilee to mark the National Library Day-2022.
Prof. Dr. S M Mahabub Ul haque Majumder, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Daffodil International University was present as the chief guest in the program. Professor Dr. A K M Fazlul Haque, Registrar, Prof. Dr. M Nasiruddin Munshi, Central Librarian of University of Dhaka and Professor, Department of Information Science and Library Management, Prof. Dr. Javed Ahmed of Department of Information Science and Library Management, DU were present as the special guest.
The function was also attended by Prof. A M M Hamidur Rahman,Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Science and President DIULibrary Committee, Prof. Dr. Mostafa Kamal, Dean Academic Affairs, Mr. Syed Mizanur Rahman, Director of Student Affairs, and Librarian Dr. Md. Milan Khan.
Highlighting the significance of the day the discussants unanimously said the role of the library is immense towards building a knowledgeable and enlightened society. The added that books always make people beautiful and bright. The speakers urged the authority making the students more library oriented.
