H.E. Mr. Yousef S.Y. Ramadan, Ambassador to the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh from the State of Palestine visited Daffodil International University (DIU) on May 05 and held a discussion with top management of the university. During his visit Daffodil International University offered Full Free Scholarships for 50 female students from Gaza of Palestine.
Under the offer 50 female students fulfilling the academic requirements with full free scholarships in the Fall Semester of 2024, scheduled to start on 01 July 2024. This will strengthen the relationship between Bangladesh and Palestine as a part of the initiative of the Father of the Nation since the Independence of Bangladesh in 1971. DIU will provide accommodation facilities for the Scholarship holders in Female Residential Halls for them in the university campus at Daffodil Smart City. Besides ensuring quality education of the scholarship holders, DIU will provide psychosocial support to them. Regarding subsistence of the selected students, DIU will work together to find suitable sponsors to ensure a safe and hygienic living and study environment for them on the campus.

Allayear, Proctor, Dr. Nadir Bin Ali, Registrar and Prof. Dr. Mohammed Mahabubur Rahman, Vice Chancellor (In-Charge) of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology were present at the program.
DIU management hope that through this collaboration, DIU can provide a homely and congenial environment for the aspiring students to pursue their education and open a new horizon of friendship and support between the two nations.
