Daffodil International University paid glowing tributes to the country’s founding president and Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman today marking his 46th martyr-dom anniversary and National Mourning Day 2021 with due respect recalling the August 15, 1975 carnage, when Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was killed along with most of his family members.
A team of Daffodil International University brought out a rally from the main campus and paid homage placing floral wreathsat the portrait of Father of the National Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in front ofBangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi Road No.32 in the capital. The team was led byMd. Anowar Habib Kazal, Senior Assistant Director of Public Relations along witha large number of students, faculty members and officials.
To mark the day a virtual discussion meeting was arranged on campus TV of Daffodil International University today. Professor Dr. KhonodokerBazlulHoque, International Business and Member, Advisory Council of BangldeshAwami Leaguewas present as the chief guest in the discussion session and presented keynote paper on Bangabandhu. Prof Dr. Ahmed Ismail Mostafa, Dean, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences and Convener, Mujib Birth Centenary Observance Committee of Daffodil International University presided over the discussion session. The function was also addressed by Professor A M MHamidur Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Science, Syed M9izanur Rahman Raju, Director, Student Affairs,
The Program was moderated by Rashedul Islam, Lecturer, Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of the university.
Another virtual discussion session on “ Women Rights in the eye of Bangabandhu” was arranged on Campus TV OF Daffodil University moderated by Professor Dr. FarhanaHelalMehtab Associate Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences. Dr. Fauzia Moslem, President, Bangladesh MohilaPorishad, Professor Dr. MizanurRahaman, Former Chairman, Natinal Human Rights Commission and advocate Z I Khan Panna, President, Ain O Salish Kendro (ASK) took part in the discussion.
