Daffodil International University (DIU) observed 21st February the ‘Shahid Dibash’ and ‘International Mother Language Day’ on Tuesday paying tribute to the martyrs of the language movement, a press release said Wednesday.
Prof. Dr. M Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor of Daffodil International University stand in solemn silence after placing wreaths at the Shaheed Miniar of the university as the clock struck 12.01 to show respect to the memories of language heroes. Prof. Dr. Shaikh Md. Allayear, Proctor, Professor Dr. Syed Mizanur Rahman, Director of Student Affairs, Kazi Md. Diljeb Kabir, Deputy Director along with a large number of officials and students accompanied with him.
Early in the morning the students, teachers and officers of the university brought out a morning rally from Daffodil Smart City, Birulia, Savar where Professor Dr. M Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr.S M. Mahabub Ul Haque Majumder, Pro Vice Chancellor and other high officials were present.
Another team lead by Professor Dr. Masum Iqbal, Dean, Faculty of Business & Entrepreneurship (FBE) and Md. Anowar Habib Kazal, Senior Assistant Director (Public Relations) gathered to Central Shahid Minar at Dhaka University and placed floral wreaths at the Shahid Minar premises.
