Education Minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury has decided that considering the mental state of the students he will not visit the examination centres during the Secondary School Certificate examinations, which is scheduled to begin on February 15.
A statement published on Monday stated that the minister said when authorities visited the examinations centres a stressful situation is created for the students and it also generate public suffering.
“Students are already in a state of trauma during examinations and hence a huge crowd visiting the examination centres increases their stress,” he said.
Moreover, the visits by officials also interrupt the entry of students to the centres, which hampers their exams.
According to the law, no one other than the centre inspector is allowed to enter the examination centre, he added.
Therefore, everyone should be alert that no person other than the person concerned with the examination enters, said the minister.
