Green University holds International Conference on STI 4.0

A two-day 3rd International conference on Sustainable Technologies for Industry 4.0 (STI 2021) has begun at the Permanent Campus of Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) at Purbachal American City.

GUB’s Faculty of Science and Engineering organized the international conference on Saturday with an objective to get preparedto facethe challenges of fourth industrial revolution.

Inaugurating the conference as chief guest, University Grants Commission (UGC) member Prof Dr. Muhammed Alamgirtalked on the strategies to face the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution and building bridge between the industry and academia.The fourth industrial revolution is a challenge for us and so we want to turn the challenge into possibility by incorporating modern technologies in education system, he pointed out.

GUB VC Prof. Dr. Md. Golam Samdani Fakir said, “The main objective of the Fourth Industrial Revolution is that it has the potential to increase the earnings and to raise the standard of living. So formation of advanced technologies may produce new products and can ensure better services which can facilitate and accommodate our personal as well as professional lives”.

Dr.Sajal K. Das IEEE fellow and Professor of Missouri University of Science and Technology, USA; Dr. Amit K. GUPTA IEEE Fellow and Head of Rolls-Royce Electrical, Singapore; TapanSaha, IEEE Fellow and Professor University of Queensland were also present at the seminar.
