The selection (audition) of the Barisal division of the country’s biggest talent-based TV reality show ‘Ispahani Mirzapur Banglabid-6th Year’ was held Friday under the initiative, planning and sponsorship of Bangladesh’s leading brand Ispahani Mirzapur. On this occasion, thousands of students participated in the selection competition organized at ‘Barisal Government Model School and College’ Friday. After the preliminary selection phase, the best 5 Bangla scholars of Barisal division got the opportunity to go to Dhaka for the main phase.
It is to be noted that at the end of the main phase in Dhaka, the country’s best Bengali scholar will win a merit scholarship of Tk 10 lakh and the second and third place holders will receive a merit scholarship of Tk 3 lakh and Tk 2 lakh respectively. In addition, the first ten contestants will get 1 laptop and a bookcase worth Tk 50,000 to make a personal library.
For the sixth time, Ispahani Mirzapur has organized the Bengali competition ‘Ispahani Mirzapur Banglabid’ to spread Bengali culture, pronunciation, pure Bengali spelling and usage to the new generation. Barisal division qualifying round starts at 9 am. Assistant Professor and Chairman of Bangla Department of Barisal University, Unmesh Roy, and traditional reciting artist Mahidul Islam acted as judges in the competition. The best 20 contestants of the department were selected through multiple choice questions based on literature and grammar of 40 marks and perceptive questions of 30 marks in this competition with the students of classes 6 to 10. Later, by checking the pronunciation, spelling and grammar skills of the judges, the best 5 were selected and got the opportunity to go to the main stage in Dhaka.
