Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) recently organised seminars in Dhaka and Cox’s Bazar district in collaboration with local organizations, a press release said on Tuesday. The seminars took place at Dhaka Mohila Polytechnic Institute (DMPI), Dhaka Polytechnic Institute (DPI), and Cox’s Bazar Polytechnic Institute (CBPI). Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) and Technical and Madrasah Education Division, Ministry of Education Bangladesh, co-organised the seminars.
The objective of these seminars was to encourage the recruitment of graduates from DPI, DMPI, and CBPI by private companies and organizations in Bangladesh.
JICA is implementing the “Project for Improvement of Technical Education for Industrial Human Resources Development” to develop skilled human resources in electrical, electronics, mechanical, and computer technologies, aligned with industry requirements.
The seminars were attended by Md. Mohsin, Director General, Directorate of Technical Education; Md. Aktaruzzaman, Director of Planning and Development, Directorate of Technical Education and Project Director, The Project for Improvement of Technical for Industrial Human Resources Development; Md. Yousuf Ali, Deputy Managing Director, Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC; and Yusuke Mori, Chief Advisor, The Project for Improvement of Technical Education for Industrial Human Resources Development. Other distinguished representatives from different industries, teachers, and students were also present during the seminars.
